I received my MSN at Columbia University in New York City in 1990 and am board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I’ve worked in diverse areas including HIV/AIDS, women’s health, substance dependency, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Family Medicine. I’ve worked at Jamestown for the past 14 years and I volunteer at The Sequim Free Clinic and with End-of-Life Washington. I am a poet and medical writer and enjoy reading, baking, and photography

I attended Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ from 1989 to 1993. I did my Family Practice Residency at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ from 1993 to 1996. I have always enjoyed the variety and breadth of family medicine and am very interested in all aspects of medicine that I can think of. My wife and I enjoy the great outdoors, and I volunteer doing trail work at the Olympic National Park to ensure that I get out to the park regularly.  We also enjoy traveling both in this country and internationally. I joined Jamestown in the middle of 2021.

I am originally from Massachusetts. I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador and then worked on the staff of the Peace Corps in Belize and Mexico. My experiences abroad with the Peace Corps inspired me to become a doctor. I returned to the United States to study medicine. I graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine and completed residency in family medicine at Swedish First Hill in Seattle. I am motivated to work for the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe whose mission is to serve and strengthen its tribal community. I am excited to be serving at a community health center that provides holistic care to the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal community and the greater Sequim community. Outside of medicine I enjoy exploring bike trails, waterways, parks, and museums with my family; traveling; going to concerts; and sharing delicious food with friends and family.
