Dr. Cunningham joined JFHC in 2003, after completing his Family Medicine Residency and Geriatric Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle. He has provided care to patients of all ages, with a focus on older adults. Dr. Cunningham is board certified in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice/Palliative Care. In 2019, Dr. Cunningham assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Cunningham is proud of the caring culture and commitment to clinical excellence that all the staff and providers at JFHC strive to achieve every day. Dr. Cunningham grew up in New Jersey, and following high school graduation served six years in the United States Navy, including four years serving onboard the USS Truxtun, CGN-35, as an Electrician’s Mate in the nuclear power program. Following his US Navy enlistment, Dr. Cunningham settled in the PNW where he completed a BA in Comparative Literature at the University of Washington, followed by his MD at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Cunningham enjoys spending time with his family and recreating across the bountiful and beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Sherry has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 8 years. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, she began her career as a registered nurse in a Medical/Surgical unit and worked her way up to case management. She received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Sherry is passionate about wound management with a future goal of certification. In the interim, she continues to work with her colleagues and nursing staff to further educate on wound management. Strong communication skills and a kind soul have been Sherry’s assets in her career. In her spare time, she enjoys baking/decorating sugar cookies, traveling with her husband, and visiting her grandchildren.
