Dr. Myhre attended medical school in Fort Worth, Texas at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathy Degree in 2010. She then attended residency in Casper, Wyoming at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine residency program. After completing her residency in 2013, she relocated to Port Angeles and practiced medicine locally until July 2020. During this time, she and her family took a one-year sabbatical to New Zealand, where she gained experience in rural healthcare. She decided that being in a positive collegial environment such as Jamestown Clinic would suit her needs as a physician and help her to better care for her patients. Following the osteopathic principals of “treat the mind, body, spirit, not just the symptoms” is very important to her. She enjoys treating musculoskeletal needs with osteopathic manipulation and discussing lifestyle modifications. In her spare-time she spends time with her husband and two boys. She enjoys helping with their homeschooling, learning to play the electric guitar and sailing. She also loves being in nature and gardening.
