Originally from Bremerton, Sol Attended the University of Washington for undergrad and then worked in malaria research for 5 years. Getting tired of research, he moved to Havana, Cuba where he studied medicine at the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina and then moved to Idaho for family medicine residency which he completed in the summer of 2024.

“I was fortunate to be able rotate with Jamestown HealthCARE as a resident doctor in the winter of 2024 and fell in love with the culture and community, and really appreciate the biopsychosocial-environmental model that is applied to health here. I knew it would be a good fit for my partner and I and so I jumped at the chance to apply to work here!”

In his free time Sol enjoys long-distance running, hiking, history books, struggling to knit and playing sous-chef to his husband.
