Sol Bockelie is originally from Bremerton, WA. He graduated from medical school in 2021 at the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina(Latin American School of Medicine) in Havana, Cuba where he realized his passion for full spectrum care and community health. Sol completed his family medicine residency in Nampa, Idaho in 2025, where he came to appreciate the art of medicine in rural settings. He happily joined the Jamestown family after realizing that his values around a biopsychosocial-environmental approach to health and wellness were a match to the care provided at our clinic. Sol enjoys providing evidence-based, full-scope comprehensive primary care to his patients. Specific areas of interest include addiction medicine, LGBTQIA+ healthcare, wilderness medicine, and community health. He is happy to provide care in Spanish to our hispanohablantes. When not in the clinic, he can be found on a long run or hike, drinking another cup of coffee, or playing sous-chef to his husband, David.
