After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy in 1994, Darcy began her therapy career working for the Confederate Tribes of Warm Springs in Oregon. She attained her Art Therapy Registration in 1998 and has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2012, beginning in Massachusetts. Darcy made the decision to return to the Pacific Northwest after her youngest child left for college and after previously working in Massachusetts as a clinician specializing in eating disorders. She provided individual therapy, care coordination, and facilitated art therapy groups including Body Neutrality, Parent/Caregiver, and Let’s Talk About it (for male-identifying clients). Darcy joined Jamestown Family Health Clinic in 2024, due in part to our dedication to excellence and choosing to serve the community she lives in. She brings along her specialties in art therapy, eating disorders, pre- and post-natal issues including parent/child bonding and relationship issues. She also treats anxiety, depression, ADHD, TBI, and trauma. Darcy employs a client-centered, trauma-informed, eclectic approach as she incorporates CBT, narrative therapy, family systems and developmental theories and methods of psychotherapy. When she’s away from work, she enjoys the outdoors including spending time with her dog, friends and family, hiking, running, dancing, cycling and gardening.
